Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Provide assistance to Legal staff in carrying out corporate legal mandates; Assure day to day flow of documents and information in support of in-house attorneys and outside counsel; Develop and administer control systems and procedures for corporate use in monitoring legal activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to interact with all levels of leadership across FedEx Freight enterprise
• Experience and ability to use Microsoft Office Software, including but not limited to; Word, Excel, and Outlook

Paralegal I

• Paralegal Degree or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited institution from the applicable state; or at least three years of relevant work experience can be substituted for this requirement if the candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or area of study
• Working knowledge of Legal process and systems
• Excellent research and writing skills, strong organizational, collaboration, communication and computer skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines

Paralegal II

• Paralegal Degree or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited institution from the applicable state; or at least three years of relevant work experience can be substituted for this requirement if the candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or area of study
• Five (5) years paralegal experience in a relevant discipline
• Comprehensive knowledge of Legal process and systems
• Excellent research and writing skills, strong organizational, collaboration, communication and computer skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines

Paralegal III

• Paralegal Degree or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited institution from the applicable state; or at least three years of relevant work experience can be substituted for this requirement if the candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or area of study
• Bachelor's or Associates degree preferred
• Ten (10) years paralegal experience to include three (3) years of Paralegal experience at a FedEx operating company and five (5) years of demonstrated subject matter expertise in specialized area of the law
• Comprehensive knowledge of Legal process and systems
• Advanced research and writing skills, strong organizational, collaboration, communication and computer skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines

WORKING CONDITIONS:
