Job Description

As a Category Manager, where you'll turn data into strategy to drive sales growth and client success. In this role, you’ll use advanced analytics and category management expertise to uncover insights, develop KPIs, and create impactful presentations that influence key business decisions. Partnering with cross-functional teams, you’ll play a vital role in delivering timely, data-driven recommendations that strengthen client relationships and performance. We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with strong data insights experience in the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in data visualization and syndicated data tools.

Here's a Taste of What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Provide category management and analytical support utilizing data tools.
  • Develop and publish ongoing KPI sales scorecards and identify key insights.
  • Construct compelling, fact-based selling stories in PowerPoint.
  • Build comprehensive category reviews and provide proactive analytics, including communicating insights to sales, client and retailers.
  • Work within cross functional teams to manage project deliverables.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Data Analytics, Finance, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of analytics experience in the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry with experience in Category Management, Sales, Trade Marketing, Sales Operations, and/or Finance working with retailers ideally within snack and candy categories in the Value class of trade.
  • CMA (Category Management Association) certification is an asset.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Suite- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Ability to pull/mine/analyze large data including NIQ, Circana, SPINS and Retailer POS data and/or panel/consumer shopper data.
  • Skilled at creating compelling stories with insights.
  • Working knowledge with visualization platforms and tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire).
  • Knowledgeable with planogram and assortment analysis.
  • Excellent attention to detail, collaboration, organization, problem solving, critical thinking decision making and analytical skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Able to meet deadlines and work in a fast paced, changing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent verbal/written communication abilities.
  • Comfortable at presenting in small and large meetings, virtually or in person, both internally and externally.
